![]() ![]() The 3009 S2 improved 3009 improved and 3009R can all be serviced easily. You can add silicone fluid, but it is difficult to get the arm to cue at the right speed. There is a slight problem with servicing the arm lift assembly of the SME 3009 series II. Here is a link to an archived post outlining the differences between the SME 3009 range. Thank You, wpod I looked through all of the SME manuals on the VinylEngine website, but didn't see anything mentioned, concerning my problem. Everything went fairly smooth, but now that the arm is mounted and it's fully functional, I don't like the feel of the tonearm lift, it is not "smooth " at all and drops the arm much too fast for my liking.
